Situation Analysis and Opportunities for Policy Innovation - Cultural Investment in Asia Pacific

Under the authority of the Director of the UNESCO Bangkok, and the direct supervision of the Chief of the Culture Unit, TFCC developed a new situation analysis on 'the state of cultural financing'. This included examples of sustainable and innovative models for financing culture and creativity with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region - covering financing for immovable heritage, movable heritage, culture in emergencies, intangible cultural heritage, and culture and creative industries. The study built from our feasibility study in 2025 and further cements the need for dedicated finance instruments and policy innovation in this field.
