A Cultural Infrastructure Plan for the London Borough of Ealing

TFCC was commissioned alongside We Made That to develop a Cultural Infrastructure Plan as a blueprint for what cultural spaces are needed for the diverse communities of Ealing in west London. This involved situation analysis of the current cultural infrastructure landscape and scoping on what is needed and possible - from artists’ workspace to theatres and music venues, to infrastructure for screen industries.

Ealing is the third most ethnically diverse area in the UK with around 160 languages spoken. The Council’s three priorities are: Fighting Inequality, Tackling the Climate Crisis, and Creating Good Jobs. A Cultural Manifesto and Action Plan prioritises ‘More Spaces for Arts in Ealing’. This included a focus on local infrastructure in the Borough's seven town centres and infrastructure which will deliver step-change in the borough's cultural offer at a regional level.
